Turkish Kafe: Tracing its roots to the Ottoman Empire, Turkish coffee is perhaps the darkest, boldest expression of the beverage’s flavor. 9th Street Coffee's authentic Turkish Kafe is crafted from a blend of perfectly processed and aged Arabica coffee beans that are expertly roasted by a fourth-generation roaster in Istanbul, Turkey. While these beans can be ground for an auto-drip percolator, we recommend the traditional preparation method, in which three tablespoons of the fine, powdery grounds are added to six ounces of water, brought to a boil, and then briefly simmered for three to five minutes. Pour the luxurious and velvety elixir into a cup and allow it to rest for a moment. Those who enjoy strong, bold coffee will want to try Turkish Kafe black. Others may prefer to add a touch of sugar.
